Awards to young scientists
Prizes will be awarded to three young researchers based on the poster or talk presented at the conference. The laureates will be announced and awarded at the conference close session.
Attendance Funds to young scientists
A limited number of Meeting Attendance Grants are offered to young scientists seeking support for attending the Halophiles 2010 conference.
To apply for the grant, an abstract has to be presented as first author. Letters of applications, including a short CV (max. one A4 page), a copy of the abstract and a brief description of the current work should then be forwarded to halophiles2010@im.ac.cn. Successful applicants will be funded at the closing day of the meeting. The amount of the grant is RMB 1500.
Deadline for submitting grant applications is 30th April 2010. Decisions will be made by 10th May 2010.
